UAE Innovation Month - Greater Bay Area: World’s Innovation Lab – Opportunities for the UAE!
No other city cluster in the world can arguably boast
the scale, diversity as well as infrastructural and functional integration as
the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (“GBA”). The GBA has been
designed to promote cooperation and economic integration across 11 cities in
the Pearl River Delta, and the eco-system developed is projected to boost the
region’s economy to US$3.6 trillion by 2030. To date, 25 businesses from the
GBA have made it to the Fortune 500 list (including Lenovo, Tencent, Huawei,
Midea, etc.). There are billions of investments being directed to the area from
locally and abroad. These funds are used to support a vibrant innovation and
technology ecosystem, and with the increasing presence of universities,
research centers, and highly skilled innovators the GBA is positioned as the world’s
next Silicon Valley. This seminar will explore the unique proposition of the GBA
and its untapped business opportunities brought about by its evolution into an
increasingly innovation-led economy. Discover why the GBA is termed the World’s
Innovation Lab and which industry-specific opportunities you can take advantage
of.
