The administrative assistant provides comprehensive administrative, coordination, and operational support to the assigned department. The role is responsible for ensuring the efficient day-to-day operation of administrative functions, supporting meetings, maintaining records, coordinating activities, and facilitating communication with internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day administrative support to the assigned department.
- Assist with processing departmental requests, approvals, and administrative procedures.
- Ensure administrative processes are completed accurately and within required timelines.
- Coordinate meetings, appointments, and schedules for the department.
- Follow up on assigned actions and maintain records of decisions and outcomes.
- Serve as a point of contact for faculty, staff, students, and external stakeholders.
- Respond to routine enquiries and direct requests to the appropriate individuals.
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, management, education, or a related field.
- Minimum 1–2 years of administrative or office support experience
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Experience supporting meetings, events, or projects.
- Familiarity with administrative systems and record-keeping practices.
